The numbers it says it calls from are listed first, because they are the ones people look up after a missed call. EE describes them as: "Number EE lists as one it may call you from (Sales team)"; "Number EE lists as one it may call you from (Business team)"; "Number EE lists as one it may call you from (Collections team)".

UK Finance says criminals pose as communications providers and ask for remote access to "fix" a problem. The FCA says that once a scammer can see your screen, they can reach your online banking.

Criminals can make their number look like a genuine one (this is called spoofing). If someone calls from this number and asks for money, bank details, a code or passwords, hang up. Then call EE back on a number you've found yourself, such as the one on their own website or on a letter or bill from them.
