WhoIsCalling.me.uk

Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to look up a number, see what other visitors reported and send us a report or message. This statement explains how far WhoIsCalling.me.uk meets that aim and what to do if something does not work for you.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We believe the site partly meets this standard, because of the problems listed below.

What we have done

  • Every page has a “Skip to main content” link, one main heading and headings in a logical order.
  • You can reach every link, button and form field with a keyboard, and the item in focus has a clear outline.
  • Text and controls use colours chosen to give a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against their background.
  • Buttons and links you tap are at least 44 by 44 pixels on small screens.
  • Text sizes are set in relative units, so the page follows your browser's text size and zoom settings.
  • Form fields have visible labels. If something is missing, we list the problems at the top of the form and next to each field, and move your focus to the list.
  • Movement is kept to a minimum, and turned off if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Colour is never the only way we show something, such as the type of a report.
  • The site works at small screen widths without scrolling sideways.

Problems we know about

  • The security check on forms. Some forms may show a Cloudflare Turnstile check to stop automated spam. It is provided by Cloudflare and we cannot change how it works. If you cannot complete it, email us at hello@whoiscalling.me.uk instead.
  • Pages still being redesigned. We are rebuilding the site. Some pages may not yet have every improvement listed above. We will update this statement as each part is finished.
  • Long lists. The area code lists are long. The site map has links to jump to each letter, and you can search for a number or code instead.

Tell us about a problem

If you find something on the site hard to use, or you need information in a different format, such as plain text by email, tell us:

Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device and any assistive technology you use, if you are happy to. We aim to reply within 5 working days.

How we checked

This statement was prepared on 13 October 2026. It is based on our own checks while rebuilding the site: using it with a keyboard only, at small and large screen sizes, and with automated contrast checks of our colours. The site has not had an independent accessibility audit.
