Who texted me? Sender names and numbers organisations use

Some organisations say on their own websites which name or mobile number their texts come from. If a text arrived from one of these, this is what the organisation says it uses it for.

26 senders from 17 organisations, checked 14 October 2026.

A real sender can still be faked

Scammers can make a text look as if it comes from a genuine name or number, and it can even appear in the same conversation as real messages. Don't tap links or call numbers in a text you weren't expecting. Check through the organisation's own app or website, and forward scam texts to 7726.

How scam texts work

Sender names

The name shown instead of a number at the top of the text.

Mobile numbers

Some of these numbers only send texts and cannot take calls. The organisation's own page says which.

Not on the list?

We only add a sender when the organisation names it on its own website. If you know of one, tell us where it's published. For a text you think is a scam, see how scam texts work and forward it to 7726.
