Suggest an official phone number

If a UK organisation publishes a phone number on its own website and it is not in our official numbers directory, tell us the number and the page it is on. A person checks every suggestion before anything appears on the site.

What we can list

  • We only list numbers that an organisation publishes on its own website.
  • We cannot use numbers from forums, directories, social media or other lookup sites, even if they are right. Please send the organisation's own page instead.
  • We will not list personal numbers, such as a member of staff's own mobile.

How we check it

We visit the page you send us and look for the number on it. If it is there, we add it to the directory with the link, a short quote from the page and the date we checked it. If we cannot find it, we do not add it. Nothing you send is published automatically. See how we check our information.

A listed number is genuine, but a caller can fake it. Listing a number does not mean every call showing it is from that organisation.

Your suggestion

All fields are required unless marked optional.

For example, a bank, council, energy supplier or charity.
As it appears on the organisation’s website.
Copy the address of the page where the number appears, starting https://. We cannot use links to forums, directories or other lookup sites.
In the organisation’s words if you can, for example “Lost and stolen cards”.
Only if you are happy for us to ask you a question about this suggestion. We do not use it for anything else, and we delete it 90 days after we have dealt with the suggestion.

We keep what you send so we can check it, and a keyed hash of your IP address to stop misuse. Your email address is optional and only used to ask about this suggestion. Our privacy policy says how long we keep each part.
