Pretending they were BT and they recognised that we were having trouble with our Internet. They has lots of information, the fact we were Sky, had a BT internet service, new router and poor download speed. Plus they knew I had an Amazon account. After an hour of testing and talking about line seeped they in theory booked a BT Internet engineer who would bring a new Sky router with him. Then they offered to give us a £450 credit to my Amazon account for the poor service over the last few weeks. Stupidly I accepted the transaction on my iPhone via my John Lewis app. To my horror I remembered that you do not have to acknowledge credits. Too late, it went into a pending transaction with Amazon. They tried to get more information but at this point I ended the call and contacted John Lewis fraud department to try to stop the transaction going ahead. They were really good scammers I normally spot them straight away. Beware.
