The caller said I had won a Toby Carvery voucher for £500 and several free entries into Euromillions lottery. He asked me to confirm details he already had about my name, address and date of birth - which I did. He then asked me for Bank details for paying in any winnings from the Euromillions, but I refused to give them. I told him he didn't need my bank details until after I had won on the Euromillions - if his company was legitimate. He argued then hung up. I made sure he told me his name and Company details at the start of the call. He said he was calling on behalf of First World Lotto, which was connected to the Euromillions Lottery organisation and he said his name was Waylon Wright. The scam included him saying I was going into a syndicate of 150 people chosen at randem from those that entered the Toby Carvery competition - which I don't ever remember entering. I believe this call was a scam one, however it is unusual to have a landline number call, rather than a mobile. I tried ringing back to get company confirmation but it did not connect.
